A woman who appeared in the witness box of the Supreme Court. Auckland. on Monday without a hat attracted comment from Mr Justice Christie. Sounds Electric Project.— The directors of New Zealand Sounds HydroElectric Concessions, Ltd., will approach the Government next session in an effort to secure adequate compensation “for the large amount of capital expended in pion< ring work, plans, surveys, etc., which enabled the New Zealand Government to negotiate with Australian and Canadian interests for the full development of the Manapouri and Deep Cove hydro-elec-tric scheme.” This decision was made at a meeting of shareholders.
