STOCK EXCHANGES ‘ VOLUME OF BUSINESS INCREASES An increased volume of business was recorded on the Christchurch Stock Exchange. yesterday, and prices of most stocks held firm. The outstanding feature was the confirmation of the continued rise in quotations for South British Insurance over the last few . weeks, with a sale at 91s 3d.
