RHODESIA AND NYASALAND
FEDERATION PLAN TO BE SUBMITTED (Rec. fl p.m.) LONDON, Oct. M. Northern and Southern Rhodesia will shortly draft a plan to federate thair territories with Nyasaland, for submission to Whitehall, said Sir Godfrav Huggins, Prime Minister of Southam Rhodesia, in London to-day. “We have come to the conclusion that the next move will be to *have discussions between representatives of Southern and Northern Rhodesia, and try to put up a plan,” said Sir Godfrey Huggins. Up to now the>United Kingdom Government’s attitude had always stopped further discussion of this question, but it could not go on resisting it for ever. Any scheme for a federation would be submitted to the people by a referendum. “I have always believed that economic control should be under one Treasury, which means one Government,” he said.
