PROPOSALS FOR ARMS REDUCTION
RESOLUTION APPROVED BY SUBCOMMITTEE PARIS, October 27. The United Nations Disarmament sub-committee finished its work by approving the Belgian resolution suggesting the receipt, checking, and publication, by an international control organ, of full information to be supplied by member States on their conventional armaments. This resolution will go before the Political Committee. Argentina Rejects Proposal for Antarctica.—The Argentine Government has formally announced that it will reject the United States proposal to place Antarctica under international control. Chile has already rejected the plan.—Buenos Aires. October 27.
