(PA.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 24. A radio from Captain Spurr, of the Palana, towing the Fernmoor, saya: "Ships encountered heavy weather. The Femmoor’s cable parted at 7.39 p.m. on September 22. At present heaving in my towing wire, which is attached to Femmoor’s chain cable. Heavy seas still prevailing. Will return to Fernmoor as socn as possible.”
