MINOR FIRES
The Christchurch Fire Brigade was called to four small fires yesterday. The first broke out at 12.37 p.m. at 231 Barrington street, at the rear ot premises occupied by St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church. This was a small grass fire and there was no damage. The second call came at 3.22 p.m. to a motor-truck which was parked m Montreal street near the railway station. The vehicle’s w» : ng had caught nre and some damage was done to the wiring before the fire was put out. truck belonged to John Erightling and Son. At 8.20 p m. a small rubbish fire was extinguished on premises at 56 McLean occu P’ ed by Walter Reynold.
