RIOT IN PARIS.—-There were many casualties when about 1000 strikers and 500 police clashed near the middle of Pairs on September 15. In this photograph men are seen throwing bricks and stones at the police during the struggle, which lasted more than an hour. Some of the strikers tore up parts of the road and pavements for “ammunition.”
