HOLIDAY WEEK
COUNTRY GIRLS ENTERTAINED
For the first time in New Zealand, a country girls’ holiday week, arranged by the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, is being held at “Te Kiteroa,” the division’s rest and holiday home at Waimate. Twelve girls—two from each executive —from Southland, Eastern Southland. Otago, Mid, South, and North Canterbury, went into residence at “Te Kiteroa” last Saturday. An interesting and varied programme has been arranged for their entertainment by the matron of “Te Kiteroa” (Mrs Gumbrill) and Mrs Farquhar Mcßae (a member of the rest home committee). The girls will visit gardens and homes in the Waimate district, and will attend a dance and a drama entertainment arranged in their honour. They will return to their homes on Saturday.
