AMENDED BUS ROUTE
SPRINGFIELD ROAD SERVICE
A compromise on proposed amendments to the Springfield road bus route has been approved by the Metropolitan Licensing Authority in a reserved decision on the case heard last Monday. By inclusion of a loop at the outer part of the service, with alternating trips east and west from the north end of Somme street, it is hoped that residents on the new route and in newly-developed areas will be served. Current fares and timetables will be maintained.
The route approved-is from Springfield road into Somme street, Hawkesbury avenue. Browns and Bretts, roads, Chapter street, McFadden’s road, Jameson avenue, Weston road, Rutland street, Hawkesbury avenue, and back into Somme street.
