PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1920” and the Amendments thereto, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kaikoura County CoUncil, at a Meeting to be held on August 20, 1948, proposes to make and Levy the following General and Special Rates. (1) A General' Rate of One penny three farthings (IJd) in the £ on the Capital Value of all the Rateable Property appearing upon the Valuation Rolls of the Kaikoura County Council. (2) A Snecial Rate of One half penny (|d) in the £ on the Capital Value of all the Rateable Property in the Peninsula * Riding and the Beach Road Electric Light Special Rating Area. (3) A Special Rate of three-eighths of a penny (?d) in the £ on the Capital Value of all the Rateable Property in the Kaikoura Township Water Supply Special Rating Area. (4) A Uniform Fee for Sanitation Purposes of Two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s) per pan per annum on all houses served within the Town of Kaikoura, and for Removal of Rubbish only, the charge to be One pound five shillings (£1 ss) per annum per removal.
