FLYING MOTOR-CAR.—The “airphibian,” an invention of Mr R. E. Fulton, of New York, was demonstrated in England recently. It consists of a fully roadworthy motor-car which, when joined with a fuselage, becomes a high-wing monoplane capable of 120 miles an hour. The conversion can be carried out in seven minutes, and with a single spanner. On the road it has a petrol performance of 25 miles to the gallon; in the air it uses eight gallons an hour.
