A new assembly hall, which will shortly be begun at Timaru Technical High School, will be one of the largest buildings to be erected in Timaru since the beginning of the war. The hall, for which a Government grant of £9475 was recently made, is part of an extensive building programme planned for the school. A two-storey engineering block and a science and administrative block may also be built. The buildings will be built in reinforced concrete faced with brickwork and the assembly hall will be built of wood.
