Flow of Cargo at Wellington.—A report by the secretary of the Wellington Cargo Control Committee states that the removal of cargo from wharves was being well handled by merchants and importer*. The report shows that 697.558 tons of cago passed over Wellington wharves from September, 1946, to June, 1947. both inwards and outwards, and during the same period in 1947-48, 924,135 tons were handled, an increase of 226.677 tons. Except for the first two months of 1948, this large volume of cargo had been handled quickly.—(P-A.)
