Plantation Fire.-—“ Although the fire season is over, the action of the bushmen was not justified,” said the ActingConservator of State Forests (Mr W. H. Jolliffe) yesterday afternoon, commenting on the criticism of bushmen at a fire which broke out in the Selwyn Plantation Board’s plantation in Steele’s road on July 2. “No one has the right to leave a fire unattended at any time,” he added.
