DAIRYMEN STRIKE IN PERTH
CITY WITHOUT MILK (Rec. 7 p.m.) PERTH, A strike by members of the Retail Dairymen’s Association has cut off all milk supplies to houses and shops in the metropolitan area of Perth. In outlying suburbs pickets attacked three producer-retailers and forcibly prevented them from delivering milk. Some shops sold milk sent from the country or delivered by men who do not belong to the association, but active pickets are sealing off many of these outlets. No provision for hospitals or mothers with young children has been made. The association demands 3d extra a gallon. REPATRIATION OF JAPANESE SOVIET CHARGED WITH BREAKING AGREEMENT (Rec. 7 p.m.) TOKYO July 14. General MacArthur’s headquarters to-day charged the Soviet .with failing to meet its Japanese repatriation agreement with the Allies for the sixth consecutive month. The Supreme Command announcement said that during June the number repatriated from Soviet-controlled areas was 5000 below the agreed total of 50.000 monthly. The May total fell short by 3655. while during the four previous months the Soviet refused the repatriation of any Japanese under their control
