SKIING
EVENTS IN OTAGO (P.A.) DUNEDIN, July 15. Although comparatively little snow has fallen on' ski-ing grounds in Otago, a few severe frosts have been experienced. Winter sports enthusiasts are making plans for full use of the weeks of winter that remain. Prospects have improved with a report from Queenstown that snow fell heavily yesterday. The Wakatipu Ski Club is preparing for a busy season. Northern skiers are expected to arrive at the end of this month to take part in the South Island ski championships on August 8 and 9, the New Zealand championships from August 14 to 21, the Wigley Cup on August 22 and 23, and the inter-University championships before the end of August.
