Swimming Accidents.— ln view of the record number of swimming accidents last season it was felt that more publicity should be given to the dangers involved in swimming Places, said the chairman (Mr G. Laurie) at a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Swimming Association. It was decided to send a remit to the annual meeting of the New Zealand council, that the council ask the Department of Internal Affairs to conduct an intensive propaganda campaign over the radio and through the newspapers similar to that advertising the dangers of forest fires and motorIng.
