The threatened disruption of atomic energy nroductibn was averted to-pay when Federal district Judge George Taylor invoked for the first time an emergency clause of the Taft-Hartley Law to prevent a strike at the Oak Ridge National Laboratories where employees qre asking for improved conditions. Judge Taylor said he took action in the interests of preparedness for national defence.
