BAKER —On March 20, at the residence of Mrs Scott, 58 Hilton street, Kaiapoi, Alfred, dearly loved husband of the late Ellen Baker, loved brother of Mrs Suisted, Auckland, Mrs G. Simpson, Christchurch, and Mr H. Baker, Onehunga; aged 68 •years. (Suddenly.)

BROWNE—On March 18, 1948, at her residence, 19 Caroline street, Wellington, Bridget Beatrice, widow of Martin Joseph Browne, and loved sister of Mrs T. H. Gillett, and William and Tom Burke, of Galway, Ireland.

MARLOW—On March 5, at London, England, George Stanley, dearly loved brother of Mrs H. G. Sell, Lyttelton, and uncle of John, David, and Helen. (After a short illness.)

POWER—On March 21, 1948. at his residence, Fernside, William Ernest, third loved son of Mrs M. Power and tile late William Power, and loved brother of George and Joe, Fernside; aged 45 years.
