OPAWA
Sir, —A few lines about this neglected suburb, Opawa. The tram track is in a most disgraceful state and has been so for several months. Holes which Blenheim road boulders would swallow exist in numbers. The side channels are choked with grass and clover; and in many places the edge of the bitumen needs attention, as do parts of the footpaths. These refer particularly to the road from Ensor’s road corner to the terminus. As one-third of the road is Unused by all traffic, it is urgent that the remainder should be kept in good order.—Yours, etc., RATEPAYER. March 17, 1948.
