ANNUAL MEETING HELD Notices of motion increasing the number of vice-presidents from one to two, appointing the president to attend the annual Dominion conference .as a delegate, and making provision for the formation of sub-branches, and the formation of sub-committees into sub.
branches, where advisable, were passed at the annual meeting last evening of the Christchurch Returned Services* Association. Officers were elected as follows:?-* president, Mr H. E. Batchelor; vicepresident Mr S. H. McGeorge; treasurer, Mr G. C.'Weston; executive, Messrs J. A. Gregor, E. J. Jackson, S. H. McGeorge, E. B. Atkinson, L. Evans, G. A. Franks. D. W. Russell, G. C. Weston, S. H. Coleman, J. A. Garner, H. E. Batchelor. P. V. H. Maxwell, A. N. Rusden, R. Nightingale, R. C. Day, D. Blackmore, and G. Kaye. A further recommendation, that when appointments were made to the association’s office staff, preference should be given to returned men and women, was approved.
