BRITISH MEAT RATION
ONE SIXTH TO BE CANNED
LONDON, March 15. The British Ministry of Food has announced that one-sixth of the weekly meat ration will be in the form of canned corned meat from March 31. The ration will consist of 10d worth of carcase meat and 2d worth of canned corned meat. All the meat ration since September 7. has consisted of carcase meat.
Lord Passfleld Leaves £59,419.—L0rd Passfield (Sidney Webb), who died in October 1947, left £59,419, all of which & to be devoted to the furtherance of the study of economics, sociotoCT, and political science.—London, March 15.
