Gust Aircraft Accident.—A board of inquiry consisting of Mr W. F. Stilwell, S.M., Mr I. E. Rawnsley (Wellington Aero Club), and Flight Lieutenant J. P, O’Donnell, R.N.Z.A.F., has been appointed to investigate the aircraft accident near Cust on March 3, when the pilot (Mr G. J. K. Robertson) and bis passenger (Miss E. W. Larsen) were killed. The inquiry will open at Rangiora on March 23<—(P.A.)
brainlayers’ Training.—Mr J. E. Jones, a member of the Christchurch Drainage Board, is discussing with the Rehabilitation Department the inauguration, of a scheme for training drainlayers. It was reported by the works committee of the board last evening that it was probable that a number of returned servicemen would undertake training for “such useful and profitable employment” if they were given a chance.
