PARIS POLICE FIND HIDDEN ARMS
(Rec. 8 p.m.) PARIS, March 6. The Paris police announce that they found five tons of arms in a lorry hidden in a garage on the outskirts of Paris and detained seven people for questioning. They also found a large clandestine arms dump in Chartres.
It is believed that the arms were destined for Palestine. Investigations are continuing.
The French News Agency reported that two Jews who owned the garage were among the people arrested. The arms included machine-guns, 150 rifles, one bazooka, bombs, anti-tank mines, and grenades.
