NO DISPENSATION FOR KING MICHAEL
REFUSAL CONFIRMED BY VATICAN
(Rec. 9 p.m.) VATICAN CITY, March 6. The Secretary of the Oriental Church Congregation (Cardinal Eugene Tisser§nt) officially confirmed at the Vatican the report that the Pope would not grant a dispensation for the marriage of the former King Michael of Rumania and Princess Anne of Bourbon-Parma unless King Michael pledged himself to bring up in the Catholic faith any children of the marriage. (Princess Anfle is a Roman Catholic and King Michael belongs to the Greek Orthodox ChurciL)
