“NO ACTION TO BE TAKEN”
ATTITUDE OF STOREMEN’S UNION Resolutions defining the attitude of the Christchurch Storemen, Packers, and Warehousemen’s Union to the carpenters’ dispute were passed at a wellattended meeting* of the union yesterday morning. The resolutions were:—(l) “That this union takes no action in regard to the proposed stop-work meeting which is scheduled to be held on Monday at 10 a.m.” (2) “That this union supports the action of the various trade unions in issuing, through the newspapers, their intention to withhold support from the proposed stop-work meeting relative to the carpenters’ dispute, that this union allies itself with the published statement.”
