Drama in N.Z. — “Because of finance and time, even the most courageous local groups had not always been able to maintain the highest possible standard in drama throughout the Dominion.” said the president of the St James’ Secrad Operatic Society (Mr J. Collins), at a reception last week to members of the New Zealand Theatre Company. Mr Collins had been reported as saying that because of finance and time, local drama clubs had not produced drama of a very standard.
