SCANDINAVIAN MOVE FOR CO-OPERATION
“ NORDIC COMMITTEE ” TO MEET IN DENMARK (Rec. 7 p.m.) OSLO, Feb. 24. A conference of the Scandinavian Foreign Ministers decided to establish a Nordic Committee for economic cooperation, to be convened in Copenhagen in March or April. The committee will deal with the Nordic countries’ tariffs and the question of a Customs Union. The conference announced that Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland had decided to participate in the Marshall Plan and to co-operate with the proposed 16-nation working committee. HUNGARIAN REFUGEES ENTER AUSTRIA (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 24. “About 1000 Hungarian refugees, faced with joining the .Communist Party or being put in concentration camps, have crossed into Austria in the last fortnight,” says the correspondent of the British United Press in Vienna. “The Austrian authorities expert 5000 more.” I
