BRITISH-DANISH TRADE AGREEMENT
(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 24. Reports from Copenhagen say that although it is not of the scope that had been hoped for when discussions began, the British-Danish agreement is regarded in Denmark as the best result that could be achieved in the circumstances. There is general satisfaction with the promised resumption of United Kingdom coal deliveries, which offsets the disappointment at Britain’s inability to provide dollars. The general feeling, it is added, is that the two countries are once more on speaking terms and that the present agreement, though limited, paves the way for a return to wider trade relations.
