BODY BROUGHT TO CHRISTCHURCH
INVESTIGATION INTO CAUSE OF DEATH
The body of James Daniel Hansen, of Auckland, which was washed up on the beach at Rapahoe, West Coast, on Wednesday evening, was brought to Christchurch on Thursday night under the care of Detective M. Thompson. An examination was carried out yesterday by Dr. A. B. Pearson, director of the pathological department. Christchurch Public Hospital, in an endeavour to establish the cause of death.
It is stated that it will be some time before Dr. Pearson completes his report, but the cause of death may be known at an earlier date.
Meantime, the police are continuing their intensive investigations.
