DOMINION STUDENTS IN LONDON
TRUST BUYS PROPERTY ROUND HOSTEL (Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) LONDON,- January 11. The Foundling Estate in Bloomsbury has been acquired by the Dominions’ Students’ Hall Trust which administers London House, the centre of many Dominion student activities in the capital. The price paid for the Foundling Estate is said to be about £2,000,000 and it will produce more than £lOO,OOO in rents. As a result of this purchase, the trust now owns all the property surrounding London House, and it has scope for expansion for many years to come. The trust is not planning any immediate extensions beyond some building additions already in progress. When these are completed, London House will accommodate 350 residential students. At present most of the 200 Dominion students using the hostel are young medical men taking post-gradu-ate courses.
