TIMARU WOOL SALE

CATALOGUE OF 30,000 BALES SOUND MARKET EXPECTED A total of 30,160 bales of the new season’s greasy wool will be offered at the first main wool sale in Timaru to-morrow. There is no scoured wool in the catalogue. There will be a good selection of Merino, halfbred, and crossbred wool, with some lines of super quality. The clip to be offered is particularly well grown and ineludes a few tender wools Because of the recent spell of dry weather, some of the down country halibred and crossbred wools are carrying rather more dust than was the case at the opening sale last year The wool market this season has been sound and at times spectacular and growers have every reason to expect satisfactory returns. The sale, which will be held in the Theatre Royal, will start at 6 a.m. Originally it was intended to start at 1 30 p.m., but because of the size of thte catalogue it was considered advisable to make an earlier start.
