MEETING AT RUGBY PARK OTAGO RUNNER WINS FOUR EVENTS In spite of a soft track, some fast times were returned when the meetings of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association were resumed at Rugby Park on Saturday. An Otago runner. Miss N. Gourlay, won four events in the women’s section, the 100 yards, 80 metres hurdles, 75 yards, and long jump. In the 80 metres hurdles she gave two other competitors one hurdle (down and 10 yards start, and won In the good time of 12 3-ssec. There were good times in. the junior 440 yards. N. Hattaway winning narrowly from G. T. Wright in 53.4-ssec. Another junior runner, B. Wilkinson, ran a welljudged race to win the three miles open event. He returned the fast time of 4min 54 3-ssec for the junior mile, event. In the following results the abbreviations for the various clubs used are:— University (Vars.), New Brighton (N. 8.
