N.Z. DELEGATES RETURN
< UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCES (P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 30. Two New Zealand representatives at international conferences returned from the United States to-day. They are Mr J. A. D. Nash, a son of the Minister of Finance ’Mr W. Nash), scientific liaison officer in Washington, who was delegate to the UNESCO conference in Mexico City, and Mr G. RLaking, of the External Affair! Depart*, j ment, who attended the United Nationl Trusteeship Council discussions on Samoa. Mr Nash said the main purpose of his Washington post was to keen m touch with scientific developments m the United States, and to keep rt* search workers in Government departments and industry in New Zealand informed. Problems of the control of Western I Samoa were settled in three days during the session of the TrusteeahiP Council, which lasted four or fly* weeks, said Mr Laking, who would not make further comment.
