NOVELDA WINS HANDICAP (P.A.) GORE. December 26. The Gore Trotting Club’s meeting wag held in bad weather, with rain during the last two races. The attendance wu large* and the track firm. The totalisator handled £32,232, compared With £33,144 last year. Aberhall, paced by a galloper, attempted to lower the Southland mile record of 2min 5 3-ssec, held by Rock* Ahead, but he was hampered by the gale and registered 2min 16sec, the first halfmile in Imin llsec.
