OFFICIAL FORECASTS "The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, Dec. 11. The weather forecast for Canterbury issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: — Situation: an anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: light to moderate variable winds. Some areas of morning cloud. Weather otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures mild. Further outlook: fine. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Variable winds. Weather fair to fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine and gunny, with a fresh south-west wind during the afternoon, and a light easterly in the morning. The maximum temperature was 71 degrees.
