ATTEMPT TO BLOW OPEN BANK SAFE
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 11. Gaining entrance to the Commercial Bank of Australia at Pukekohe by removing sheets of iron from the roof and dropping through the skylight, intruders unsuccessfully attempted to blow the safe open with gelignite. They left after ransacking the office in a fruitless search for cash.
