SUPREME COURT
CUSTODY OF CHILDREN An application for the custody of a girl aged 11 by Ruby Mairie McGeorge (Mr E. A. Lee) was heard in the Supreme Court, Christclnirch, before Mr Justice Fleming, yesterday. The application was opposed by Ernest Albert McGeorge (Mr D. J. Hewitt). After hearing the evidence, his Honour granted custody of the girl to Mrs McGeorge, with rights of reasonable access to the father. He made an order against the father for the maintenance of the girl at 15s a week. His Honour awarded custody of two boys, also children of the marriage, to the father, with rights of reasonable access to the mother. All costs were awarded against the father. His Honour reserved the right to either party to move in Court again on the question of access, or for the variation or cancellation of the orders.
