Fire Sale.— Toys, crockery, under-
and women’s frocks were the *ftain items sold at the King Edward Barracks yesterday, when the’ auction sale of goods salvaged from J. Ballan*yne and Company’s premises was continued. There was keen bidding ajfcong the large crowd for women’s fecks, the majority of which showed signs of damage, and prices ranged from £1 5s to £3 ss. About £2OOO Jorth of goods w r as sold during the day. St. John Ambulance. — The St. John Ambulance Brigade at Greymouth, in efforts to provide a building at yreymouth for its activities, has to date received a total of £790 18s 5d in donations.
