FIRE PRECAUTIONS IN SCHOOL BUILDINGS
The need for an assurance that fire precautions in the school building, and the House especially, were quite adequate and functioning satisfactorily must be apparent in view of the recent disastrous fire in Christchurch, and the subsequent awareness to the danger of fire that had developed in every part of the country, said the headmistress of the Timaru Girls’ High School (Miss N. M. Dickie) in her report to the Timaru High Schools Board at its meeting yesterday.
