MR C. F, SKINNER “NOT FIT PERSON TO BE PATRON’’ (P.A.) WELLINGTON. December 9. Saying that the statement by the Minister of Rehabilitation (Mr C F. Skinner) during the election campaign in Westland was detrimental to Socialism and working-class unity, a meeting of the Victoria University College Socialist Club recently considered that he was no longer a fit person to hold the position of patron A letter was written to Mr Skinner advising him of this motion.
Several members consider that the Minister pf Health (Miss M. B. Howard) should be iqvited to become patron in Mr Skinner’s place. The matter is to be considered at the next annual meeting of the club.
