Home Servicemen’s Association.—A
decision to postpone the annual children’s party because of the outbreak of infantile paralysis was made at a meeting last evening of the social club of the Christchurch Home Servicemen’s Association. A social was held after the meeting, visitors being present from various branches, the Veterans’ Association, the Returned Services’ Association. Attempt to Enter Premises.— An unsuccessful attempt was made to break into the premises of Plimsoll’s, Ltd., in Manchester street, on Monday evening.
