BRITISH COAL TARGET IN 1948
10,000,000 TONS MORE FOR EXPORT (Rec. 7 p.m > LONDON. December 7. The Minister of Fuel (Mr Hugh Gaitskell) announced that Britain hoped to export 10,000,000 tons more coal in 1948 than in 1947, although present output was “only enough to get us by’ 1 for internal requirements.
