HILL CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIPS
A. G. HOLLAND’S DOUBLE SUCCESS The outstanding rider at the South -sland open road hill climbing championships and club championships held by the Pioneer Motor Club on the Governor’s Bay-Kiwi highway on Sunday, was A. G Holland. He gave a faultless display to win the 500 c.c. championship and also the South Island championship in record time. Results were as follows: 250 c.c. Pioneer Championship (B.M.A Cup).—R. Procter, Imin 35 3-ssec, 1; A. F- min 36 2-ssec, 2; R. Entwistle, Imin 39 2-ssec, 3. 350 c.c. Pioneer Championship (Big Tree W ’ Willson) Imin 29sec, 1; M. Walsh, Imin 32 4-ssec, 2; M. Daniels, Imin 35sec, 3. 500 c.c. Pioneer Championship (Triumph Cup).—A. G. Holland, Imin 22 4-5 sec, 1; J. Swarbrick.
