LIGHT POLLING IN MOST CASES ‘ Polling places were dotted throughout the provincial centres of Canterbury and Westland, but in most cases voting was light. In the following results, members returned unopposed are not listed, sitting members are marked with an asterisk, and for county councils riding elections are shown separately. LYTTELTON Polling at Lyttelton was heavy, although not a record. For the first time the council will include women councillors, Mesdames I. A. Gilmour and G. E. Boyd being elected.
