REDUCED TEA PRICES
EFFECT IN AUCKLAND ON MONDAY
<P.A.) AUCKLAND, November 19. A reduction of about 5d a pound in the retail price of tea will become effective in Auckland on Monday, the first day of the new rationing period. Best quality tea will then sell at 5s a pound instead of 5s 5Jd a pound as at present. The reduction arises from the elimination of sales tax, amounting to 10 per cent., earlier this month.
