APPOINTMENTS TO HOSPITAL
ADVERTISING VACANCIES OVERSEAS
The advertising of vacancies on the medical staff of the Christchurch Hospital overseas as well as in New Zealand was the subject of controversy at recent meetings of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, and yesterday the board received the opinion of the medical staff executive. It was reported that the executive considered that any increase in the visiting staff of the hospital, or the establishment of a new department requiring a part-time medical officer, should be advertised oversea*.
