SOUTH BRIGHTON SURF CLUB
Conditions were perfect for the opening day of the South Brighton Surf Club’s season on Sunday. Spectators were addressed by the president of the Canterbury Surf and Life-Saving Association, Mr A. F. Stokes, and by the president of the club, Mr S. B. Mason. The club captain. Mr M. Fearon, took the “first plunge.” Results of events held on Sunday were as follows:
Open Surf Race.—N. Schou 1, B. McNeilage 2. M. Fearon 3. Senior Surf Race.— 1. M Fearon 2. K Duncan 3/ Junior Surf Race.—N. Schou 1. P. Smith 2, M. Gold 3
