HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING AT TAI TAPU The Tai Tapu Home and School AsRciation held its annual meeting recently. when the association’s activities were reviewed by Mrs C. L. Kartin, who presided. It was reported that the garden comtittee. under the direction of Mr W. t Martin, had given valuable assistffie in the improvement of the school founds. The Entertainment Club, rith Mrs C. L. Martin as leader, assisted by Mr R. Studholme, jun., and by Mr C. L. Martin, as musical director, had presented two entertainments to large audiences. In conjunction with the school committee, the club had also held a successful children’s fancy dress ball. Several lectures, some illustrated by films, had been given during the year. The balance-sheet, presented by Mr Gordon Macartney, showed a substantial credit after a motor-mower had been purchased and handed over to the school committee. The following officers for the year were elected:—patron, Mr W. Harris; president, Mrs C. L. Martin; vice-presi-dents, Mrs N. Withell and Mr G. Edwards; secretary-treasurer, Mr Edwards; honorary auditor, the Rev. C. k Sparrow; committee, Mesdames Smith and Ivor Gray, Messrs C. L. Martin. W. C. Martin, J. Millar, J. T. Cnapman, R. Shearer, A. D. Johnston, «nd R. Tobeck.
