NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Elections to fill FOUR ANNUAL VACANCIES on the Board of Governors of The Canterbury Agricultural College will be held ON MONDAY, the Ist DAY OF DECEMBER, 1947, and that the Polls for such Elections will be closed at 5 o’clock on the afternoon of that day. Two members are to be elected by Graduates of the University of New Zealand whose names are on the books of the College and the holders of Diplomas granted by the College. One member is to be elected by the governing bodies of such of the societies incorporated under the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1908, as have their principal offices in Mid-Canterbury, to wit, that portion of the said Provincial District west of the main railway line and north of the Rakaia River, together with that portion between the Rangitata river and the Rakaia river.

One member is to be elected by such of the members of the Legislative Council as are for the time being resident in the Provincial District of Canterbury together with such of the Members of the House of Representatives as for the time being represent Electoral Districts wholly or partly within the said Provincial District. The Electoral Rolls to be used at such Elections may be inspected at the Office of the Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, anO such Electoral Rolls will be CLOSED for the purpose of the Elections at 5 P.M. on the 3rd DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1947.
